Package PyPI

anaconda.org is a service that allows you to create and manage public and private pypi packages.
Show me how to install, upload or manage labels

Install Python Software

Download software from our pypi.python.org mirror.
Every user has an index which can be accessed with the /<USERNAME>/simple url suffix

pip install -i http://pypi.anaconda.org/pypi flask

Download secure private packages by generating a token
All package indexes can be prefixed with /t/$TOKEN
You must first install the anaconda-client

TOKEN=$(anaconda auth --create --name pypi-download-token)
pip install -i http://pypi.anaconda.org/t/$TOKEN/<USERNAME>/simple mypackage

Now navigate to your settings page to view and manage your tokens. Or manage them from the command line

anaconda auth --list

Upload Python Packages

You must first install the anaconda command line client

python setup.py sdist # Build your package
anaconda upload dist/mypackage.tar.gz

Or use Python's packaging system:

# Generate a TOKEN
TOKEN=$(anaconda auth --create --name pypi-download-token)

# Edit your ~/.pypirc file
[distutils]
index-servers =
    pypi
    anaconda

[anaconda]
repository: http://pypi.anaconda.org/<USERNAME>
username: <TOKEN> # Replace this with your token
password: no-password # Your token already acts as both username/password

python setup.py sdist upload -r anaconda

Clone, create and freeze new repositories with Anaconda Cloud labels

Upload or install packages from custom labels. That way you can test code without affecting your users

Fork packages from any other user. You can guarantee that the packages stay constant.

anaconda copy pypi/flask/0.10 --to-label testing
pip install -i http://pypi.anaconda.org/<USERNAME>/channel/testing/simple flask

Lock a label to prevent changes

anaconda label --lock testing
